In January of this year we purchased the townhouse next door to our home. Our intention was to make a small opening between the adjoining living rooms, add a library or music room and use the rest for storage. Than, I heard about Paul Beattie of Tradewind Estate Homes, President. I heard he was the greatest at this type of work, any type of remodel as well as new construction so I gave him a call.Paul was here in no time and the small opening in the wall became a double adjoining single townhouse. The work is magnificent and on time and so much more than we expected. Paul's mantra is let me know what you want, and I can do it and "No Worries" and he is true to his reputation.
On occasion I would call or email Paul with an idea or question, he is on the phone with the right source, person to answer the question and get the job done.
One case in point were the interior stairs on each side, both wood but the railings were different. I decided that doing matching stairs in wrought iron would be a great look and the next morning, the Iron Works company was here taking measurements with samples, prices and ready to go.
Tile/carpet/appliance/plumbing and light fixture selecting, Paul gave me names and places and before I got home, he knew exactly what I wanted, the availability the cost and put things in motion as soon as we gave him the OK to go. He works so well with his suppliers or you can use your own...
Neatness, this is important to us, imagine having half of your home come down to join to a second....Paul and his crew did it (as he guaranteed me from the onset) with minimal mess his coordination for this is truly amazing.
Paul understands every facet of building, plumbing, electrical, demolition etc. so when you talk with him he "gets it" and makes it happen.
OK add to this, Paul is a very nice guy, courteous, a sense of humor while very serious about his work and stays in contact on a daily bases. He told me I may get tired of his emails, I never did and it was great knowing from the first of the day what would be done on that particular day.
Paul usually ends his email with something like "If there is anything else you need done today, let me know..." Very hard for us to believe, go back and look at old pics, that this was all done in a few months, and what a beautiful job....
I have had many many experiences with remodels, from the subs not getting along or agreeing, permits not being puled correctly, real nightmares. Paul took care of everything for us. |
